Inlays & Onlays FAQs

  • First appointment: Your dentist will examine the tooth, take X-rays, prepare the tooth, and take an impression for the custom restoration. A temporary restoration will be placed until your permanent inlay or onlay is ready.
  • Second appointment: The dentist will remove the temporary restoration and carefully place the custom-made inlay or onlay, ensuring a proper fit and bite. They will then cement the restoration into place and polish it.
